Objective I am looking for a great opportunity to get into a new career to better myself and family. I would like to utilize current and new skills alike. Professional Experience Classified Worker South Bend, IN Union Hall Local 20 August 2007 to present Organizing Inventory, Putting together ductwork, Operating saw to cut material. Laying out work and material for the entire work day for our journeymen. As well assisting them in completing their tasks for the day. •A lot of heavy lifting and moving •Precise cutting and measuring •Preparing Journeymen’s work •Unloading material from trucks Orderfiller Fort Wayne, IN Wal-mart Distribution September 2006 to May 2007 Operating a talkman and electric pallet jack to fill the Wal-mart stores orders. Constantly lifting, bending, and stacking. Moving as quick as possible while maintaining a 98% accurate orderfill. Always topping out in the incentive program for moving quickly and accurate. •A lot of heavy lifting and moving •Always staying accurate •Constantly topping out on the incentive program Painter/Foreman Fort Wayne, IN New World Painting May 2003 to August 2006 Painting houses, gas stations, and factories. Leading a team of painters in a fast pace job and staying on task as well as on schedule. Estimating many jobs and a lot of the customers went with us. Went a straight 3 years-no numbers use three •A lot of heavy lifting and moving-this sounds negative, it sounds like you don't like moving. I would like to utilize current and new skills alike.-you need to modify this to every position you apply for, and it is way too long. also have one section that says job objective, keep this simple. followed by summary of qualifications which is followed by bullets describing your qualifications. you need to modify this for every job you apply for. •Constantly topping out on the incentive program-this might not be understood by all employers. ----also you have two sections describing your position and duties. write your position followed by your bullets which describe your duties example: Warehouse Specialist *receiving orders
